Profile

Jim has extensive experience in planning and executing business growth and value strategies and successfully facilitating mergers and acquisitions. His strong leadership, listening and communication skills allow him to help clients identify and capitalize on opportunities and mitigate risks and challenges of business transactions.

Prior to joining Schenck, Jim served as executive vice president of The Waterstone Group, two staffing agencies he co-founded and co-led, totaling over 1,000 employees and $60 million in annual sales. Jim also has ten years of transactional experience in acquisitions and commercial finance as a partner in Milwaukee-based law firms.

Key Accomplishments

  • Facilitated the sale of a full-service metal fabricating business with 200+ employees. Garnering thirteen offers, Schenck helped our client obtain top value for retirement and sell this third generation company to a private equity group that is partnering with continuing management to further grow the business.
  • Assisted a public company in the acquisitions of two private manufacturing companies. Schenck was initially engaged for financial due diligence, but also helped the corporate development team with deal terms and structure; process and negotiation issues; tax allocations and structure; and intangibles valuation. Schenck’s financial models, calculations of value, diligence and experience enabled our client to save a significant percentage of the transaction value.
